The brief

One of Barton’s original white-rendered cottages, with mature trees worth protecting and a front garden that had lost its shape over the years.

The goal: renewal, not reinvention. Honour the heritage character, tidy every line, and hand back a garden that looks effortless and cared-for from the street.

What we delivered

We reset the beds with crisp brick edging, laid fresh turf to a true level, and re-mulched deep, clean garden beds around the existing ornamental trees — keeping the specimens that give the cottage its maturity.

Clipped feature shrubs and a curving brick path re-establish the arrival sequence to the green front door. Restrained, classic, and built to be kept in order in an hour a week.

Designed, delivered and managed by one team.
